Swedish Relaxation Massage:

Therapeutic massage delivered in a soothing, rhythmic and completely graceful style.  Designed to increase circulation, waste elimination and range of motion, with the added benefit of reducing tension and rejuvenating tired muscles.

Swedish Deep Tissue Massage:

Swedish massage delivered in its characteristically graceful style, while accessing the deeper fascial layers within the musculature of the body.  It is most commonly used to treat chronic pain, repetitive stress restriction, and traumatic injury.  It is also beneficial for athletic support.  This is always applied within the clients comfort level.

Myofascial Release:

Designed to effectively treat and reduce connective tissue restrictions which can effect muscle function and joint mobility.  Used to address past injuries, repetitive stress restrictions and the effects on the body from daily life. (Typically practiced in 10 to 20 minute increments within a regularly scheduled massage, although it can be applied as the primary technique in some instances.)

Sports Massage:

Designed for the athlete in all of us, professional or amateur. Used to reduce injury and restriction which can effect performance.  Effective for increasing strength, mobility and function before, during and after sporting events and training.  Swedish, DeepTissue, Myofascial Release, Proprioceptive techniques and Hydrotherapy can be used with appropriate timing to address specific needs.

Injury Treatment (also known as medical massage): 

Used to address soft tissue injuries, chronic pain and inflammation. Usually prescribed by a physician, and applied in a series of treatments over a specific period of time to improve tissue heath, tissue integrity and functional mobility. It incorporates many styles of massage including Swedish/ Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation.

Pregnancy Massage (PrENATAL OR POSTNATAL)

This massage is designed to support the mother to be before, during and after her pregnancy. Special focus to areas under stress will be highlighted, as well as appropriate detail to supportive positioning and comfort. Postnatal bodywork focuses on recovery, support and function. 

Manual Lymphatic Drainage:

Designed to reduce edema (swelling of the tissue due to fluid retention) after surgery, injury, during pregnancy and a variety of conditions due to illness.
